[ Elena's gotten a little more used to moving fast, meaning it doesn't take her long to get to the location. Longer than it might have taken other vampires, but she'll take the small win. When she gets there she knocks, definitely a little bit awkwardly. ]
[ She plots down on the couch and takes a glass, trying to seem as not awkward as she possibly can. It takes a moment before she lets out a huff. ]
I dreamed a memory. You and a guy. Alexander. I'm...I owe you....[ why is this so stupidly awkward? ] Look, I'm sorry. [ Whether she's saying she's sorry for having seen that, or sorry that someone betrayed her in such a horrific way, or sorry for something else entirely is left up in the air. ]
I'm not. More so for having seen it when it's yours to share or not. [ Seems invasive. But this place loves invasive. ] It's not fair for me to just see it all and feel it. It was like I was there and having it happen to me. [ So she got how awful it was, which also seems invasive as all hell. ] It also kind of...gave me some perspective? [ She glanced away at that and ran a hand through her hair. ]
[ as always Elena wears her emotions on her face looking obviously torn up over things. Still she's not going to let it completely ruin her. She gives a small smile. ]
It took me some time to decide what worked with all the changes in the last century, but I can't say I miss the older fashions, either. [And the shopping itself is without incident really, Rebekah keeping things somewhat in line with Elena's own style.]
[ She's at least perking up some as they shop, still has the shadows of sadness, but one can't stay completely mopey in the face of so many cool things. When she gets into the perfect dress for a night out she twirls. ] You sure it isn't too much?
Really? What's wrong with my hair? [ She picks some strands up and frowns. ] I guess it is kind of...the same. [ As always. Without any big changes ever. ]

Hey. Thanks for this, you really didn't have to.

Passable enough I suppose unless you want to go shopping first.
no subject
Maybe we should. Unless you want to be embarrassed by my lame lack of fashion.
no subject
Come on, I know some good shops.
